To be a Super Leader means to study hard, to be drug and gang-free, to be a good role model, and to set good examples for my peers. I no longer treat my peers and adults with disrespect. I have good manners and set high standards for myself. I am proud of my mentoring skills and I let my friends know that drugs are not the answer. I have gone from a 1.9 GPA to a 3.8. I am going to college in August.

As a member of Super Leaders, I have learned how important it is to make good grades. I have improved my GPA by studying and going to class everyday. Super Leaders is the best program at our school. Miss Vickie and the rest of the staff have helped me tremendously. I especially learned a lot from the retreats and after-school programs. I enjoy the summers, too.

Super Leaders has helped me to overcome my problems and to make something out of my life. I get good grades and help other students with their homework, because I am now a captain. I help my younger sisters and brothers too. I want Mr. Owens and everybody else to be proud of me because I want to be a leader, not a follower. I stay out of bad company and even want to go to college now.”

Super Leaders has brought me a sense of responsibility and helped me to improve my GPA. Super Leaders is my family. It has given me a chance to meet new friends and to reach new heights. I also enjoy the physical fitness programs in the early mornings.

I am thankful for Mr. Smith. He makes a difference in everybody’s life. He just wants all Super Leaders to succeed. Super Leaders is my life.
